Technology_ giants_ to_remove_ interoperability_ barriersTechnology heavy-hitters are now promising to work together on improving data exchange by embracing FHIR, the Argonaut Project and more according to sources in the white house. A broad coalition of technology giants like Amazon, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Salesforce are now on the stage to schedule to the session at the Blue Button 2.0 Developer Conference here in the White House to pledge on the removal of interoperability barriers.

Dean Garfield, the CEO of the Information Technology Industry Council is now leading the session and describes the pledge as -making a commitment to eliminate the friction that exists in the healthcare systems today. Nowadays with cloud computing and cloud architecture moving toward open standards through FHIR and the Argonaut project, it is mandatory to pledge against interoperability he states.

The companies shall not probe into further details says Microsoft Corporate Vice President Peter Lee and continues by saying that his company is committed to the removal of all barriers to the interoperability of health data in accordance to the commitment. He adds into the conversation by saying that, they see this as a historic moment as they can intervene in the right ways of healthcare shifts in the cloud to make AI available.

“The organization is committed to enable connected care.” says Gregory Moore, Google’s vice president of healthcare and life sciences. Later, IBM’s Head of Global Product and AI Mark Dudman emotionalizes it by replying, “Patients should have access to their data with flexibility in utilizing the products and services across different systems so as to work seamlessly for their care.”
