The new fifth-generation of the LS Sedan designed to be the new global citizen of the company. The flagship vehicle is receiving the GA-L platform for luxury vehicles and a boost in the size as the vehicle debuted in the LC 500 coupe series. The new LS has a lower center of gravity as the vehicle sits lower with wider tracks. Toshio Asahi, chief engineer for the new LS said, the new LS is anticipated to be the new generation of the luxury cars exemplifying the Japanese culture and not only symbolize the Lexus Brand. The model resembles the aforesaid coupe from the front while the side profile is more dynamic and sleeker than before. The LS is the first in the market to have a six-side window design. Along with the regular 19-inch wheels the hollow rim structure in the special 20-inch wheels aids for reducing the reverberation sound from the tires.
In order to reduce unwanted sounds in the cabin, the company has taken exceptional measures. An active noise-cancellation system, which further hushes the cabin by sensing the sound of the engine coming into the vehicle and deleting particular frequencies using anti-phase sound from the audio speakers alongside giving the exhaust a more authoritative tone.
