Information Governance (IG) veteran Laurie Fischer along with her team of ten members are to be brought onboard at HBR Consulting’s law departments consulting practice. Laurie Fisher has been the face of the industry for more than 25 years. Fischer has found her own company Fischer Associates in the year 1990 and helped companies to put in place and design record information management service and compliant records. Fischer was brought onboard to Huron Consulting in 2011 to guide Big Law firms on their RIM practice. When Consilio, an e-Discovery provider acquired Huron Legal, Fischer followed the company. She has also served as managing director for Conilio before this move. Fischer demanded a packaged deal along with her team said Kevin Clem, managing director and practice group leader for HBR’s Law Department Consulting practice.
Kevin also said, “Laurie really wanted to make sure part of the ability of her coming was the ability to bring her clients and her team intact”. To start day one at HBR they are able to have a full practice. Dropping a full practice team can be a little shock for the company but he said they work closely with Consilio while the changeover was been made and both companies are happy with it.
