Along with these iPad 4th gen, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPad 4th gen, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4 and iPod touch 6th generation devices will also tag along for the update.
That being said the iPad 2, iPad 3rd gen, iPad mini, iPhone 4s and iPod touch 5th generation devices which are currently supporting iOS 9 will see the end of the road for updates.
The support for the apps from developers will gradually fade and due to lack of updates security vulnerabilities will overpower the device. The operating system will perish slowly. Some of these devices are really popular for example the iPad 2. Which sold during the March of 2011 and 2014 with a sale percentage of 17 percent.
