Singapore is looking forward to a simpler and natural interaction with its e-government services with the use of Artificial Intelligence technology. Using the Microsoft’s CaaP (Conversation as a Platform) service to explore prospects to develop the next generation govt. services based on conversational computing is led by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore.
IDA in association with Microsoft will develop ‘ChatBots’ for supporting selected Public Services, said Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister in charge of Smart Nation. Simulating human behavior and consistent user-friendly interactions are expected from these intelligent software tools he added.
With efforts of making these more engaging and preemptive for the public proof-of-concepts will be built. People expect personalized and intuitive experience in real-time and with the quantum improvement in natural language processing onboard conversations can be the next medium.
