IBM’s new Cloud-based secure Blockchain service

IBM’s new Cloud-based secure Blockchain serviceIBM on Thursday started beta testing a high-security service plan in order to boost the security of IBM Blockchain. The plan includes dedicated infrastructure for each customer. Developers who want to experiment with blockchain tech were provided with only a starter cloud service till now. This service was shared with hundreds of blockchains and runs on a multitenant cloud.

Jerry Cuomo, IBM Vice President for Blockchain Technology mentioned the new service though still cloud-based but provides own dedicated resources for you. This is not the first time IBM delivered this security level cloud blockchain service. Earlier the company has offered to build this for clients in health and financial industry. This new service is what customer can order up for themselves through the Bluemix PaaS (Platform as a Service) portal of IBM.  Everledger wants to replace the paper certificate of authenticity and attribution for high-value goods with blockchain storing the digital ones.

The diamond certifying market is ogled by Everledger, the most valuable ones have an identifying code LASER carved on them. This not only certifies the diamond but also offers an unassailable ledger which links the identifying codes with the certificates.

It is expected this new service from IBM after the beta test will be available commercially in 2-3 months.
