Users who liked the Facebook the way it was are annoyed with the changes that the company is making to its site. Facebook appears to take cues from its messenger’s app interface as the sites chat windows now look very much alike with a new set of icons and matching color pallets.
It seems like Facebook’s Messenger design language is cleaner and newer than Facebook’s site, as the site start to look old and outdated with the inconsistency of the key elements such as emoji, iconography, and color palette is clearly evident. With the new change, the window for conversations and displaying contacts are better looking as the chosen accent color for contact is now available for the site which makes it easier for the user to differentiate between the chats at ease. This might solve the extended problem of posting messages in wrong chat groups.
The company is also changing or gradually rolling out a little difference i.e. trending topics are no longer included in the descriptions rather it only indicates only how many people are talking about it.
Different emoji collections for status update and messenger are being updated constantly. It is expected that the change to the chat window is just the first of many to come.
