4GLTE is just getting in the veins of communication networks. Some places are yet to get 4G connectivity and 5G connectivity is already knocking at the door. AT&T Inc. the American multinational telecommunications corporation, headquartered Texas announced on Monday that it is planning to add Middletown, NJ to its 5G home Broadband trials after it launched a trial for Austin, Texas area. 3GPP the organization responsible for the 5G is expecting to complete the first phase of 5G standard settings by 2018. AT&T’s prior trials are efforts to finalize an International standard for 5G Connectivity.
Unlike faster phones and quick movie downloads promised by 3G&4G, the introduction of 5G connectivity will open up new possibilities in many sectors such as commercial delivery drones dropping packages at your doorstep, autonomous vehicles making real-time decisions, smart homes will be smarter etc.
Before we step into the future of communication dreary works must be taken care of like advanced beamforming, how to utilize sub 6Hz web spectrum etc.
“In early tests,5G was able to reach speed up to 10 Gbps, which is well under the expected speed that ranges from 20 Gbps to somewhere around 80 Gbps. Expected 5G roll out is 2020.
