Armani Jumps Into Smart Wearable Market

Connected wearable is the new target set by the Italian Luxury fashion brand Emporio Armani with a launch of a bunch of new hybrid smart watches. The company has announced the collection on this Tuesday. Help locating a lost phone, Quartz battery to eradicate the need for charging and sleep and activity tracker are some new features apart from the obvious one i.e connectivity to the smartphone. According to a report by IDC wearables analyst around 52 percent, less watches were shipped in the third quarter as compared to the same quarter last year. Armani’s foray approaches as the market for smart watches is losing ground. IDC said the main reason for this downward graph of the market for smart wearable is the Google’s verdict to hold back on Android Wear 2, which force the vendors to rely on older devices for quenching the demand.


With a price tag of $250-$400 the Armani’s watches are a bit pricey but striking. The conventional sweeping hour and minute hands with a round face provides the watches an unmistakable aesthetic look. The wearables are available in gunmetal, rose-gold, black and stainless steel appearance.
